Castle Green, Unit 502, Pasadena

This is a rare and wonderful opportunity to live in one of Pasadena's most unique buildings. The Castle Green was built as a grand hotel in 1898 and was designed by Frederick L. Roehrig. The studio features a highly functional floor plan: living room with Murphy bed, Murphy bed closet, dining area, kitchen, full bathroom, dressing room, and a charming balcony. Many of the architectural details are original, including uniquely designed plaster moldings, scored and glazed concrete floors, and an original tiled fireplace. Although not original to the unit, the Murphy bed in the living room is housed in a beautiful piece of furniture with bookshelves flanking the front paneled doors and interior lighting above the bed when opened. Additionally, the kitchen has new plumbing and the refrigerator and refurbished antique stove are part of the purchase. Currently the studio is furnished with antiques, many of which can be purchased.
